Our Mission Statement


The Links, Incorporated is an organization comprised of women of African heritage who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the identities, culture and economic survival of all people of African origin through cultural, educational and civic programs. Through our partnerships we promote activism to help bring about positive change that transcends time, race and socio-economic differences.

HISTORY OF THE SAN FRANCISCO CHAPTER OF THE LINKS, INC.

The Western Area of The Links, Incorporated developed from a nucleus of three chapters chartered in 1950. The chartering of the Los Angeles, Oakland Bay Area and San Francisco chapters connected the chain of friendship in The Links, Incorporated from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.

Since 1950, the San Francisco Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has worked to provide hands-on service and support to local community-based initiatives and organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through its dedicated members, the San Francisco Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has provided thousands of volunteer hours and significant financial support to the community for almost sixty years.
